C Y Therapy
Queer Sex & Relationship Therapy with Chui-Yee
Embarking on therapy for the first time can feel daunting, especially when navigating the deeply personal terrain of sex and relationships. Taking the first step is often the most difficult part, but within that initial apprehension lies the profound potential for transformation and healing.
As a sex and relationship therapist, and a qualified Yoga teacher, I work with individuals and couples on their mind-body connection, through somatic awareness and psychosexual therapy, to help foster greater wellbeing in sexual expression and pleasure.
I specialise in Gender, Sex, and Relationship Diversity (GSRD), with a particular focus on intersectionality and LGBTQIA+ communities. I am a Clinical Sexologist (PG Dip) and a registered member of COSRT (College of Sex and Relationship Therapists). I have regular clinical supervision and my work is governed by the COSRT Code of Ethics.
I offer a confidential, non-judgmental space to explore your desires, confront challenges, rewrite old patterns and cultivate a relationship with yourself and others that is authentically fulfilling.
Your journey is as individual as you are. I offer a flexible, tailor-made approach that evolves alongside you, taking a comprehensive view of your wellbeing by acknowledging the interconnected parts of your identity and experience.

Couples Therapy
Couples or Intimate Partner therapy can help those who are experiencing communication breakdown, trust issues, codependency and attachment difficulties. I specialise in working with partners navigating Polyamory and ENM possibilities, as well as those coping with the aftermath of affairs.
I also offer counselling for folks in Queer Platonic Relationships.

Solo Therapy
Psychosexual therapy can help individual clients work through issues such as low desire, body image, exploring Kink/BDSM, mind-body connection, online dating, anorgasmia, gender and sexuality, menopause, conflicting desires, self-worth, painful sex, anxiety/depression, childhood sexual abuse, trauma and shame.
I also provide counselling for people working with sexual compulsivity, including porn use.

Yoga
Yoga is an evidence-based practice, recognised by the NHS since 2015, and backed by scientific research. The Yogic practices of breathwork, meditation and gentle movement can foster somatic awareness and aid the mind-body connection. It can help with emotional regulation during sessions, as well as provide tools to practice at home. I also offer Couples Yoga, where the practice is designed for your individual needs as a couple.

Therapeutic Tarot
Tarot cards have long been used as a tool for exploring our internal worlds and the subconscious. Through my Therapeutic Tarot CPD training, I use the cards as a practical and visual aid to guide reflection during sessions. As symbolic tools the imagery can often unlock perspectives which might not be immediately accessible through words or the conscious mind. Imagery can be very powerful and can offer a creative way to explore, especially where there are feelings of being stuck.
Pricing
I offer a sliding scale fee to make therapy more accessible. You are invited to choose a payment amount that is comfortable for you within the sliding scale, based on your current income and financial situation. This approach is built on trust and allows for more equitable access to therapy.

About me
Being a child of first-generation immigrants from Hong Kong and growing up bi-cultural, I have always been aware of the impact which race and intersectionality can have on our sexual identity and expression. Our cultural heritage, religion, social class/background, the education system, family dynamics and our physical and mental health can all make us live by narratives and internal scripts which might not be in total alignment with the true expression of who we are, especially in terms of our sexuality and gender identity.
I am a lifelong Yogi, having started my practice over 15 years ago in 2010. Yoga has allowed me to witness first-hand the benefits to mental health and physical wellbeing that Yoga, meditation and breathwork can bring. Yoga teaches us the importance of balance in all aspects of our lives. The union of mind and body is at the heart of Yogic practice and somatic awareness, which is often the pathway to authentic sexual expression and pleasure.
